Happy New Year to everyone!

2012, in all its glory, is finally here, and with it a lot of great music!  Coming up first, the Toy Piano Composers present one of their more ambitious programs, Opera Scenesters.  Maureen Batt, Marta Herman and Jeremy Ludwig will be performing works from members of the composer collective, all under the awesome guidance of Erik Thor.  With pieces by Glenn James, Monica Pearce, Elisha Denburg, Christian Floisand, Fiona Ryan and Chris Thornborrow, this is sure to be a great introduction for newcomers to both new music and opera.

I am currently Director of Marketing and Development for the group, and although I won’t be performing, I will certainly be there!  Please check out the events page on my site for more info, it will be taking place at Heliconian Hall in Toronto.

On Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th, I will be performing with fellow Sneak Peek Orchestra musicians and the Windmill Theatre Chorus in ‘The Glory of Christmas’.  The first half will be presenting traditional Christmas favourites arranged by John Rutter, and the second half will be made up of traditional and gospel favourites.  Check out the details in the event page on the site!

Time: 2:00PM
Tickets: Pay What You Can
Address: 507 Bank St.

After years of struggling on their own in the wilderness of the music industry, the Crouch brothers have decided to team up and join forces for an afternoon of supersonic noise! In the first event of its kind since one afternoon at the Fenelon Falls Museum, Tim and Peter Crouch will present old and new music for all to enjoy, while accompanied by the ultra talented Matty Walton on piano!

Tim Crouch, flute
Peter Crouch, trumpet
Matty Walton, piano

A special PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN event!

Featuring works by Mozart, Copland, Doppler, and a myriad of compositions by the more talented of the two (Peter), the brothers hope to dazzle the senses and baffle the pundits.

Please join us for some great times! It’s all pay-what-you-can, a nickel will do (though a C-note would also be nice). For those who don’t live in Ottawa, why not visit and make a weekend out of it!
